Thanks for a great day out,I came up with 4 kids aged 6,7,10 and 12 in search of 'something to do on a bank holiday'and for the first time EVER,they ALL enjoyed themselves,not one of them wanted to come home.So here we were up the dales,the weather wasn't brilliant but I found I had four prospectors on my hands,yes they had gold fever,or was that Galena fever,the look on their faces when they found some was something else.The trip down the mine was fantastic,the staff were second to none and we would recomend this as a great day out to anyone.We look forward to our next visit.Davy,Ashleigh,Jack,Hayley and Owen David Platten, Leadgate,Consett, Co Durham, England, 08/07/2004 12:02:13
Hi me and my Grandad visited killhope on the 5th of April 2004 and had a really great time even tho it was wet and cold, but that is what the washer boys had to work in and in wooden clogs aswell. I enjoyed the visit so much that I would really love to come again. The cafe made really morish food and lovely hot chocolates to warm me and my grandad up after we had been down your really great and interesting mine. It was really interesting and loads of fun. Hope ton come again
