Investing in Children Travel Card Half price travel throughout County Durham for 14, 15 & 16 year olds!
Who Can Apply?If you're aged 14, 15 or 16 and live in County Durham you can become an I.I.C. card holder and have half price bus travel throughout County Durham.
I.I.C. Cards can be used: - For all bus journeys in County Durham. You can also travel to and from adjoining areas so long as you get on or off at a stop in County Durham.
- With single and return tickets
- Any time except before 5pm on school days (standard Durham County school terms).
The I.I.C. card is valid until the end of the school year of your 16th birthday. For example:

Between 1/9/90 and 31/8/91 | 31/8/2007 |
Between 1/9/89 and 31/8/90 | 31/8/2006 |
Between 1/9/88 and 31/8/89 | 31/8/2005 |

From your School
If your school is issuing I.I.C. Cards ( see below for participating schools) it is now free to get your pass. - Fill out the application form
- Obtain a passport size photograph
- Take your application to your school
From Durham County Council
If your school is not issuing I.I.C. cards you can send your completed application form to Durham County Council with: - A passport size photograph
- Proof of date of birth eg. Copy of birth certificate of passport (please do not send originals as they will be returned to you, by post, at your own risk)
- A cheque or postal order for �2 made payable to Durham County Council.
- Send your completed application to:
