About Us

Group Visits

Members of staff regularly give talks on Local and Family History Sources to interested groups who visit the Record Office.

These talks are an excellent way to visit the Record Office for the first time or to discover more about our holdings. A charge is made for this service.

For further information, or to book an appointment, please contact the County Archivist.

'Your County Record Office' and 'Discover Durham Documents' are guided walks that take place alternately on the last Thursday evening of every month.

Each tour meets at the County Hall Help Desk at 6 p.m. Please note, a small charge is made for these tours.
